Berberine has more human trial data behind it than almost anything else sold in this category. It also has a dose problem in gummy form, and reconciling those two facts is the reason this site exists.

The clock the evidence runs on

Berberine research runs on an eight-to-twelve-week schedule at doses measured in hundreds of milligrams, usually split across the day. A gummy carries a fraction of that and is taken once. We put the trial dose and the label dose next to each other and let the gap speak, rather than listing “contains berberine” as though presence were potency.

What the format costs

Pectin, sugar and flavour occupy most of a gummy's mass, which caps how much active it can carry. That is a real constraint, not a criticism of the manufacturer — but it does mean a gummy and a capsule of the same ingredient are not interchangeable, and a page that implies they are is misleading you about the thing that matters.
